Bzzzzzzzzzz

I was down on the first floor of the building in the data processing area auditing the operations group. The first step is to watch them do their job. Have them show me the processes they use in doing various transactions. I know this group of girls pretty well. Two I have know for a couple of years.

I was reviewing the procedures with one girl while asking two others questions to clarify items. There was a sudden commotion amongst the hens when an email came out announcing that two of the supervisors were promoted.

Then we heard the buzzing sound.
bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Out of nowhere, one comments "Sounds like someone is celebrating!".

The girl behind starts laughing her ass off. 5 seconds later, I finally get it. Part of me was shocked. Not quite the conversation you hear in an office setting. The other part thought "hey, chicks talking dirty! Nice!"

Of course, I couldn't resist a comment of my own. I accused one girl of being the "celebrating" one because she was working on a manual. Get? Bwahahahahahahahahahaha!

Guys love chicks that can talk openly about sex and get bawdry too. Me especially.

Just before I left for the day, I had to call one of them up to get some info. She brought up the vibrator comment from earlier in the day. So I went with it again, making a comment that apparently she can't wait to get home to celebrate either. "hmm, maybe I will" was her response. My guess is her kids are getting put to bed early cuz Momma needs her time alone.

So I may have an update later on the girl and her toy.

Also got an interesting email. The dimwits at MKE.com have chosen While Drinking, I... for blog of the week again. WTF? The first time, I had fun with it. The second time, I encouraged people to vote for someone else. This time, I say MKE is a total bunch of idiots. Apparently they are clueless to realize it is dormant for now. Even still, I would rather not be the winner there anyway. Their site is lame.

I thought Czabe has an excellent point about the NFL owners the other day. He said:

knows as you wake up and read this, whether the NFL will have chosen the SANE
path and decided to extend the labor deal in a manner that makes everyone just a
little unhappy (always the hallmark of a balanced deal) or if we are now
launched into a world of complete player-personnel confusion.
One thing when
talking about the owners being divided amongst themselves in terms of revenue
sharing models that drives me crazy is the “small market teams” vs. “big market
teams” terminology.
Guess what? There’s no such difference! Every NFL owner
is essentially “big market” if they want to be! Look at Carolina. They are “big
market” because of their stadium, the marketing the club does in the region, and
Jerry Richardson’s wealth and desire to be good.
Arizona under Bill Bidwell
is certainly under no market disadvantage. Phoenix is about the same size as
Charlotte.
The difference should really be called “small MINDED owners” vs.
“big MINDED owners.” You can hate Jerry Jones and Dan Snyder all you want, but
they have BIG PLANS for their NFL teams, and are hustling to make it
happen.
Just because the Brown family and Mr. Bowtie want to squat on their
teams and do next to nothing but collect TV money, is something other owners
have a right to be pretty pissed off about.

I though this view was dead on. Packer management used to alway talk about being at a disadvantage because they were in a small market. They slowly copied what other teams were doing and still cried. Anyone with half a brain would recognize that their market was not the city of Green Bay but the entire state of Wisconsin. Not that small. Czabe is right. You cannot blame the innovative owners who want to maximize revenue. If other teams choose not to explore avenues of revenues (yeah revenue shouldn't be plural but it rhymed!) then screw em. They are not allowed to whine.

I also have made a decision to get a cheap phone line for the house. My cell service sucks at home so something needs to be done. I mean, it is embarrassing to be having phone sex and lose your signal.
