If only

I am going through one of those "if only" moments right now. Sitting at my desk for the last hour, I got the routine items done. Now I get to dig into some research on a document that I am not reviewing like I am suppose to be reviewing because my boss is already reviewing it and her review is what is going to count. Why I am reviewing it I am no clue on. But in the end, I know I will have to try to make her understand how the department is doing business. Basically a battle that I cannot win.

So I sit here and think if only I was in Vegas. That would be nice. If only I could have a drink, that would be really nice.

If only the chick who just came back from maternity leave would SHUT THE HELL UP, that would be nice. For the last friggin' half hour I have overheard nothing but "My girl is so cute" and "the older one said this- it was so funny!" and "Well, this is how I do it".

Someone get me an icepick so I can ram it in my fuckin' ears already. I have survived the baby showoff so I thought it was over. Now I need to listen to her recap all the meaningless things she did while on leave? Kill me now!

After a nice couple of days here in the Brew City, it is back to winter. The week looks to be a cold one. Perfect time to think about vacations. I am kicking around the thought of heading down to Tunica to check out the gambling. Maybe even Biloxi but I hear that is still a mess.

I am also kicking around Atlantic City as well. I figure I will be out that way in September of Al's Bash at the Boathouse, that to spend a couple more days in AC would be a good thing. Never been there so I would like to check it out. Any feedback on AC is great appreciated.

Now, if only it was April 13 at sundown...
