It would be nice
I was jealous yesterday, but that has passed. Seems some damn lucky bloggers (and drinkers) have been invited to the Playboy Mansion for some poker thingy. Good for them. I enjoy what they have to say so it is good for them to get some kind of "reward". They are good people and will have one fantastic time. Of course it would be nice if I could go but it is no hair off my ass. Hey I already get paid to play some poker on the net so I can't complain. Besides, I don't go through life wanting what others have. I go get what I want. If the chips fall the other way, so be it.
I am booking my Vegas trip soon. Going in July for the WPBT Summer Classic. Who wants to go with me? Don't worry, I will be able to drink by then and won't be boring.
I had one of those days yesterday where I got stuff done but was interrupted by little annoying things or I found little things to be annoying. Like the email that was sent by the company yesterday announcing the light fixtures in the building were going to be replaces. They apologized in advance for any disruptions, yada yada yada. An hour later, there is a follow up email. Now, my first reaction was "like I didn't understand the first one, we need a second one?". My second reaction was "I work with a bunch of twits". Yes, twits, not twats, because that would be different scenario altogether.
Apparently some people felt it necessary to find out why they were changing the lights.
WTF?
I don't care why. It is not my place to ask why. Don't these people have better things to do than wonder why they are changing light fixtures? Soon, I will be working in a pinkish/orange glow instead of white. It will be more soothing to they eyes (or so they claim).
I wonder if I can get a tan from them too?

I am jealous of the guys at the Mansion. They do deserve it, but so do I :(.
The lighting in offices has to be bad and that is why flourescent is usually used. It the lighting is good and relaxing, then everyone looks better in good light and dirty activities will ensue. Well, they would at my office if the lighting was better...
What dates are you going to be in Vegas in July?
Not in stone yet but most likely July 6-9. I may get out there a day early or stay a day later.
