Piling on
Day 18 of Hell saw the level of unhappiness rise. The Cowboys went and did it.
They signed T.O.
Not too happy about this, but I will take the optimistic outlook. I don't like the guy. I don't like his attitude off the field. I fear he will ruin my team.
But I highly respect his talent. He may be the best receiver in the game still (or at least top 2 with Steve Smith) I don't doubt what he can do on the field. Hell, I took him with my first round pick this past year in fantasy football. If he can deliver and lead the team to the playoffs, I will be happy.
I am not on the T.O. bandwagon. You will not hear my singing his praises just because he is a Cowboy. I believe George Teague is one of the best Cowboys ever because he defended the Star. But if T.O. delivers some big numbers and victories, I will be smiling pretty broadly and I will be able to forgive. However, I hope he does not plan on doing something stupid to try and make up for what he did years ago. I do not need to see that.
Football is a business. Though many people dislike Jerry Jones, I love the guy. He will do what needs to be done for the Cowboys to win. How does anyone not like that in an owner? The best part is he has learned from the past. He doesn't make mistakes that will hurt the team in the future. I liked what he had to say in the press conference (I listed live on the net. Rosenprick nearly made me puke when he spoke). He truly wants the Cowboys to be the best. By signing Owens, he has taken that step.
I got out of the house and played some live poker last night. You know the link for Beer City already so go and read that if you like. The food is awesome at this thing. The Polish, Slovenian, and hot sausage are mighty tasty. Plus beer and soda come along with the entry. Why I once again went somewhere that offered all the beer I could consume I will never understand. Look at me. Idiot. I think my picture is now in the dictionary under idiot. Why do I punish myself like this?
Tuesday marks the halfway point. Not that I am counting.

Well put Aleta. I would have to be a total idiot to give up alcohol during the Drinking for Jesus Tour.
You going to stay with not smoking?
I think I had a couple for ya on Friday. It might have been more than that, but it got a little hard to count above 5 since I had my shoes on, and a beer solidly in one hand. Thing got kinda blurry, too. I hope you appreciate the things I do for ya. *laughs*
*waits for the TO comment from the Blonde one*
How could the Cowboys get any worse?
TO is the greatest thing to hit that team in a while. I am wet with joy.
