Let the horsey run

I was excited about today. Today I was getting the Mustang out, getting it to the mechanic for the usual fine tunings, and getting prepared for fun driving.

I dropped the truck off yesterday to have the brakes checked again and will swap vehicles tonight. They didn't have a loaner car for me to use so a mechanic who lived a couple miles south of my house would give me a lift.

He was a crotchity old man. After I told him where we were going he went into a rant about his ex-wife of 15 years. It started with him saying "I lived in the area. My ex-wife got the house, that bitch. I was debt free and now she is pissed because of the lake property". In my mind I was looking at the guy like he had 2 heads. Where the hell did that come from? He went on for the whole drive about how his wife is still out to get him and his grandkids think she is nasty, yadda yadda yadda.

I would like to meet this lady. Just to see who is more of a crotch.

When I got the car out this morning, the drive felt so nice. It will be even better after the checkup. I love driving. Having a car that has some giddy-up makes it even better. If felt good to slide onto the seats and relax. It was like the car was driving itself.

All I need is for the weather to just improve from here. It should be quite nice the rest of the week. I may have the top down by Friday.
